This incredible Christian Dior Couture store is situated along the southern shores of Hawaii in the popular surf haven of Waikiki! Ornate patterns engage onlookers to peer more deeply into the store, which features wide viewing areas to promote natural light and tasteful merchandising.
Three massive IGUs up to 237″ x 111″ are the centrepiece with roughly 20 additional IGUs encapsulating the exterior. To manage the solar heat gain and remain colour neutral, Pilkington Architectural Glass OptiWhite and Saint-Gobain SNX 70-33 on Diamant were used. Hawaii is also known for its intensely strong winds, with the Waikiki area seeing 137 mph short-duration loads. To combat deflection, seal failure or breakage, the glass makeup consisted of:
x2 10mm + 060″ Eastman DG41 interlayers (outboard)
x1 10mm (inboard)
With weights up to 2840 lbs per IGU, Aurora Glazing Solutions Ltd. expertly installed this project across multiple levels, and we think the results speak for themselves!
