Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the CFO, the HR Generalist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all HR functions to support the company’s growth and operational excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and culture development, thriving in an independent yet collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and selection, ensuring alignment with AGNORA’s values and operational needs. Oversee onboarding processes to integrate new hires effectively.

· Employee Relations: Act as a trusted resource for employees, addressing concerns, fostering a positive workplace culture, helping coordinate employee functions, and managing conflict resolution. Provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary actions.

· Policy & Compliance: Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with Ontario employment laws (e.g., ESA, OHSA, AODA). Maintain employee records and ensure data privacy.

· Compensation & Benefits: Administer payroll (in collaboration with accounting), manage benefits programs, and recommend competitive compensation strategies to attract and retain talent.

· Training & Development: Identify training needs, coordinate professional development opportunities, and support career growth initiatives to enhance employee skills and engagement.

· Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align HR initiatives with business goals, providing insights on workforce planning, succession, and organizational development.

· Health & Safety: Participate in the JHSC and oversee workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and fostering a safe, healthy work environment.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent work experience.

· CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.

· Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience.

· Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.

· Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with employees at all levels.

· Experience with HRIS systems, payroll administration, and Microsoft Office.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

· Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments is an asset.
