Wind load is one of those things you don’t think about when it comes to standard windows, but as glass size increases with window size, wind becomes an important consideration. Oversized glass acts like a sail, with its larger surface area interacting with the wind and enduring more load.

As window walls become further connected to high-end homes, it’s a great time to address how wind bends these large windows, and what glass thicknesses are required to limit bending or “deflection” and maintain the comfort and longevity of these high-end items.
