FOR: IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 29th, 2016
AGNORA has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Small and Medium Employers (SMEs), an editorial competition that recognizes enterprises whom offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. AGNORA’s investment in employee health and wellness is just one of the many reasons they have received this award.

“Most people spend more time at work than they do with their families,” says AGNORA president Richard Wilson. “Our objective is to keep our employees happy. If they’re healthy and happy they’ll perform better and their personal lives will be more harmonious.” Employees can take advantage of the on-site personal trainer, daily fitness classes, massage therapist and an on-site doctor.

After a fast-paced day of servicing A-list clients such as Apple, Microsoft & Burberry, employees can unwind on the indoor volleyball court. The office and production floor organize weekly wallyball tournaments and regularly participate in yoga and spin classes to keep healthy and balanced.

Another key area for judging is the hiring process and AGNORA offers a unique approach by prioritizing fit over experience. New hires spend 3 months in a mentorship program to determine if they will become part of the team. This strategy encourages employees to align their needs and requirements and empowers them to choose the best-suited candidates.

Richard and Laura Wilson, who founded the company in 2011, have taken great strides to create a family-like atmosphere with the AGNORA team. The glass wall that separates the office staff from the production floor symbolizes the relationship between the two. It is one team that works together to handle and overcome any challenges that are thrown their way. “AGNORA truly has a great atmosphere,” says James Cole, Senior Project Manager. “The quality of the work environment is second to none.”

Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers competition recognizes small and medium enterprises across Canada. It is limited to private-sector commercial organizations with less than 500 employees.
