This dramatic footage makes another case for using the appropriate level of security glazing. Tempered laminates with PVB are not the answer for burglar resistant glass. In other words: safety glass ≠ security glass. We’re thankful no one was hurt during this robbery.

The door immediately loses its integrity after a single hit which punctures and shatters the glass, and likewise the display cases are equally accessible.

Using security glazing with the right designations for high-end storefronts is the optimum way to keep intruders out while still allowing high visibility of the products displayed within. P6B or P8B designations are best and can resist up to 72 strikes. If require a detailed guide about the type of glass your storefront needs, see the attached article explaining the different options.
