Some glass is MUCH worse (watch the video) than others. The good news is that distortion can be tightly controlled and drastically reduced. However, this method of tempering carries a higher risk of breakage in the oven or quench, but it’s the price we as fabricators sometimes have to pay for the highest quality glass!
