AGNORA has been once again recognized as one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers (SMEs), an editorial competition that recognizes enterprises that offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. AGNORA’s investment in employee health and wellness is just one of the many reasons they have received this award.

“When people work in a nice environment, they will do a good job.” says AGNORA president Richard Wilson. “Our environment is designed to make employees love coming to work and to inspire them to deliver their best.” Employees can take advantage of the on-site personal trainer, fitness classes, massage therapist and doctor. The employee run vegetable garden provides seasonal produce to take home.

Another key area for judging is the hiring process and AGNORA offers a unique approach by prioritizing cultural fit over experience. New hires spend 3 months in a mentorship program to determine if they will become part of the team. The program aligns individual success, including their willingness to go the extra mile to deliver outstanding customer service, with the ability to embrace the company culture and perform in a team environment.

Founders Richard and Laura Wilson, have created a family-like atmosphere at AGNORA. The glass wall that separates the office area from the production floor symbolizes the open relationship between the two groups. It is one team working together to deliver extraordinary customer service and quality. “We’re a big, happy family here,” says Curtis Appleton, Tempering Operator & Team Lead.
